Description
An antique sterling silver belt and bracelet set from Taxco, Mexico. The jewelry is marked 980, which is a purer level of sterling silver than is commonly used, and dates it between 1930-1950, which was the "Golden Age" of Taxco sterling silver jewelry. It features a floral or abstract scroll motif in an openwork cutout style. Similar "gladiator-style" or wide-panel designs were popular during this era. Belt is 28” length. Bracelet is 6” length. Good condition.
