Description
Vintage 1975 M.J. Hummel annual collector plate produced by the Goebel Porcelain Company of Rödental, West Germany, representing the fifth issue in the celebrated Hummel annual plate series introduced in 1971. This hand-painted porcelain plate features a softly modeled bas-relief scene of a cheerful young boy riding a wooden sled while holding a glowing lantern and carrying a freshly cut Christmas tree, capturing the warmth and nostalgia associated with classic Hummel holiday imagery. The sculpted detailing and gentle coloration highlight the craftsmanship for which Goebel is renowned, while the year “1975” appears prominently in red at the lower edge. Marked HUM 268 and accompanied by its original box, the plate measures approximately 7½ inches in diameter and remains in good vintage condition with light, age-appropriate wear.
