Description
This traditional Uzbek pichak knife features the classic wide, straight blade form that gently tapers to a slightly upturned “kayik” (boat-shaped) tip. The blade bears a Cyrillic inscription, referencing the city of Chust in Uzbekistan’s Namangan region, long celebrated for producing high-quality handmade pichak knives. The handle is formed from a dark composite material and decorated with inlaid circular and geometric elements resembling colored glass or mother-of-pearl, ending in a subtly downturned pommel typical of regional examples. The knife is accompanied by a fitted black leather sheath embellished with simple embroidered geometric and floral motifs in red, orange, brown, and turquoise tones, along with a belt loop for secure wear and transport. Measuring approximately 7 inches in length and 1 inch in width, the knife and sheath remain in good overall condition with light wear consistent with normal age and use.
