Description

A unique Steinway & Sons grand piano, which appears to be a rare Art Deco Model M. This specific instrument is a 5'7" Model M parlor grand, notable for being the first piano design commissioned by Steinway from designer Walter Teague. It features a distinctive Art Deco aesthetic that sets it apart from traditional Steinway designs. Based on the serial number, this piano was manufactured in 1925. 56" L x 66" W x 69" H. Good condition. The Model M Steinway & Sons Foundry Casting Tubular Metallic Action Frame Pat. was created during a series of innovations established by C.F Theodore Steinway and launched in 1912. This particular model can be typically found in some early models during the late 19th and early 20th century. The improvement in this design is the direct sound transmission from the rosette shaped rails and flanges to the brass tubes giving it  the celebrated "Steinway sound" distinct in a strong treble and powerful bass.  This particular design does not see normal wear of warping and swelling from that of a standard wooden piano.
