Description
A vintage Greenwich Flint Craft (GFC) art glass decanter with mushroom-form stopper, designed by Thomas M. Connally and produced in limited quantities between 1969 and 1972 under the Indiana Glass umbrella. This sculptural modernist piece, cataloged as design number 1163, reflects Connally’s appreciation for contemporary Scandinavian-inspired aesthetics and elegant minimalist form. The decanter features a tall, slender, bottle-shaped body in vivid translucent red glass rising to a broad, disk-like collar and domed amber stopper. Measuring approximately 17.5 inches high and 3 inches wide at the base, the piece represents part of Connally’s short but influential GFC line, in which he created roughly seventy designs across five colors during the company’s three-year art glass initiative. Condition is good, with form and coloration well preserved.
