Description
A group of four volumes from the Father and Son Library series, published in 1921 by The University Society, New York. This series was conceived as “a practical home plan of all-round development for the boy,” intended to encourage education, character building, and shared interests between fathers and sons. The lot includes the following volumes: Volume 2: The Boy’s Own Book; Volume 3: Sports and Games; Volume 8: Reading and Public Speaking; and Volume 10: Camping Out. Each volume is bound in matching red cloth with gilt lettering and embossed decoration to the spines and covers. Overall condition is good for age, with expected light wear to covers and spines consistent with handling and storage. Bindings remain sound, and interiors are generally clean. Approximate size of each volume: 7 1/2 in. x 5 1/2 in.
