Description
A pair of traditional Indigenous fur moccasins with a floral, likely Woodland-style beaded design. The design on the vamp (the top part) resembles a flower or possibly a clover and is a common characteristic of Native American artistry from the Northeast and Canada, such as the Ojibwe or Cree tribes. They are made from soft leather like deer or moose hide, with a fur trim, possibly rabbit or sheepskin, for warmth and comfort. The intricate hand-sewn beadwork in floral or nature-inspired patterns is a signature element of many Northeastern Indigenous peoples' craft. These types of soft-soled moccasins are often intended for indoor use as slippers, or historically, for use with snowshoes. 4" H x 10" L Good condition.
