Description
An antique Maddock's Lamberton Works royal porcelain pitcher. This piece was likely manufactured in Trenton, New Jersey, between approximately 1888 and the early 1900s. Maddock's Lamberton Works was known for producing high-quality domestic and commercial china. Royal porcelain with a white or creamy white glaze. Features a delicate pink and green floral pattern, typically a transferware design with hand-painted highlights, not entirely hand-painted. It includes gold accents around the rim, handle, and base, which may show some fading due to age. These large pitchers were commonly part of a wash basin set, used before the widespread adoption of indoor plumbing for personal grooming. Today, they are often used as decorative pieces or vases. 10 1/2" H Good condition.
