Description
A pair of vintage pressed glass perfume bottles with distinctive large, oval ring stoppers. Produced by Paden City Glass Company around the 1940s, a period when American companies manufactured these types of items during World War II when imports were limited. They are often associated with the EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) style. The bottles feature an ornate, cut or pressed glass design with a panel-and-star pattern on a footed, square base. The defining characteristic is the very large, decorative, hollow ring stopper, which makes them approximately 10 inches tall when inserted. Unlike many early Czech perfume bottles, these stoppers typically have a ground finish that fits the bottle rather than a long dauber rod. 3.5" L x 3" W x 9.5" H Good condition.
