Description
A cut crystal decanter that was made in Poland. The decanter is part of a range of 24% lead crystal barware produced in Poland for various brands and retailers. The piece features a distinct cut pattern of vertical and diagonal cuts, and the overall shape with its flat base and round stopper is sometimes referred to as a "ship's decanter". It comes with a vintage-style decanter tag used to identify the contents of a liquor decanter. The label is made of metal, possibly sterling silver or silver plate, and is designed to hang around the neck of a decanter via a chain. It features an ornate or scroll design with the word "Scotch" embossed or engraved on it. Decanter labels first appeared in England in the 1730s and are still used today. 11 1/2" H Good condition.
