Description

A small Navaho weaving depicting the "Tree of Life", mounted on paper block. The weaving has a deep blue border with red flames at either side, and a cornstalk rising from a wedding basket at the center, surrounded by colorful birds on both sides. It was made on an upright loom. This style of weaving is a pictorial design that has been an important symbol for the Navaho people for over 150 years. The reverse side has a short note about the weaving, and the retailer- Ridgeway Graphics Art Studio as well as the location -Sedona. There is also a note on how to care for the item, and four protective pads at each corner. Measurements are 6" x 6" x .25" and item is in good condition.
