Description
A hand-carved common loon duck decoy created by the Canadian artist Jim Harkness. Harkness, a well-known Canadian folk artist from Stayner, Ontario, began carving in 1975, and his work is recognized for its distinctive graphic simplicity and style. The decoy in the image has a black head, a white-striped neck band, and a body featuring black and white spotted feather details. These carvings were made from white pine or basswood and finished with oil stains and enamels. 7" L Good condition.
