Description
A collection of antique gold-filled jewelry items, likely from the Victorian or Edwardian eras, which are components often found in a gentleman's accessories set. The set includes a pocket watch chain/Albert chain, which is a long, curb-link chain with a swivel hook clasp at one end and a jump ring at the other is characteristic of a watch chain, also known as an Albert chain. These were used to secure a pocket watch to a waistcoat or lapel. A fob/locket which is the round, engraved disk with the initial "M" attached to the smaller chain. Fobs were decorative ornaments suspended from the watch chain and often contained a locket, seal, or monogram. The long, straight pin with a decorative head is a stick pin (or tie pin/lapel pin). The head of this pin features a small, gold-tone circle with a blue stone in the center. These were commonly worn in a tie or lapel as a decorative element. These pieces were popular accessories for both men and women during their respective time periods and are valued today for their historical significance and intricate details. The items are housed in a small pouch printed with " The Wm. Hengerer Co" which was a large department store chain based out of Buffalo, New York and started in 1836. Good condition.
